The AIDA 1 Freediving Course introduces students to the concepts of freediving. In this course you will learn the basic theory of freediving, how to prepare for a breath hold, and how to snorkel/freedive safely. This course is intended for complete beginners who want to learn to snorkel or freedive no deeper than 10 meters, are interested in pool training, or as an introduction class that will lay groundwork for more training at a later date.

Course dates are as follows:

Sunday October 1st Theory (Zoom) 9:00AM-11:00AM, Pool (West Van Aquatic Centre) 1:00PM-4:30PM
Monday October 2nd Open Water (Ansel Point) 1:00PM

You will need appropriate gear (wetsuit, mask, snorkel, fins, weights) which can be rented from several locations - we will provide info upon registration.

Please note that if you are interested in freediving deeper than 10m or participate in further freediving activities with Oceanoid in open water, a minimum of an AIDA2 certification is required.
