AIDA 3 Advanced Freediver Course

We are happy to announce a new AIDA3 Advanced Freediver Course. You can currently register for the pool component which runs in February. 

POOL COURSE SCHEDULE:

• Saturday February 3, 2024 9AM-11AM - Online Classroom Session 
• Sunday February 4, 2024 9AM-11AM - Online Classroom Session 
• Saturday February 10, 2024 9AM-11AM - Online Classroom/EQ Session
• Sunday February 11, 2024 (TBD) - Dry Stretching Session (online or in person)
• Monday February 12 - WVAC - Static Pool Session 1 - 7:00 to 8:30PM
• Thursday February 15 - Renfrew Pool - DYN BI Pool Session 1 - 6:00 to 7:30PM
• Thursday February 22 - Renfrew Pool - DYN BI Pool Session 2 - 6:00 to 7:30PM
• Monday February 26 - WVAC - Static Pool Session 2 - 7:00 to 8:30PM

OPEN WATER SESSIONS:

Registration is open for the ocean component which consists of two open water sessions. Upon registration you can choose from 2 of the following three dates:

• Sunday April 28 11AM-2PM Open Water Session (Buntzen Lake)
• Saturday May 4 2PM-5PM Open Water Session (Ansell Point)
• Sunday May 19 3PM-6PM Open Water Session (Ansell Point)

You must have registered for or completed the AIDA3 Pool Freediver Certification before you register for the Open Water Component. 

The AIDA 3 is intended for freedivers who have completed the AIDA 2 (or equivalent with another training organization) or have participated in AIDA ranked competitions.

The AIDA 3 builds on the AIDA 2 and assists freedivers in developing new skills and a higher knowledge of safety procedures and techniques including free fall, Frenzel, training tables etc. It is a required course for any freediver that would like to complete the AIDA 4 and then begin training to become an AIDA Freediving Instructor.

Prerequisites are either the AIDA 2 course or an equivalent course from another freediving organization OR participation in 5 AIDA ranked competitions within the last 6 years with specific AIDA ranked results and completing the AIDA 2 exam with a passing grade.
