AIDA 1 Discover Freediving Course
The AIDA 1 Freediving Course introduces students to the concepts of freediving. In this course you will learn the basic theory of freediving, how to prepare for a breath hold, and how to snorkel/freedive safely. This course is intended for complete beginners who want to learn to snorkel or freedive no deeper than 10 meters, are interested in pool training, or as an introduction class that will lay groundwork for more training at a later date.
The January 22 course consists of a morning online classroom session (8:30AM to 12PM) and then an afternoon in-water session (2PM to 4PM) at West Vancouver Aquatic Centre.
Please note that if you are interested in freediving deeper than 10m or participate in freediving activities with Oceanoid in open water, a minimum of an AIDA2 certification is required.
NOTE: Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination is required to enter the pool facility. At the date of training, if you are sick or experiencing any symptoms, live closely to someone who is sick or experiencing symptoms, or have returned from overseas travel in the last 7 days, you cannot attend an in-person training session.
